Brazil's Senate voted to suspend President Dilma Rousseff from office, but she stated that she does not intend to resign on her own, Gazeta reported quoting Telesur TV channel.

Rousseff noted that she would not give up as she has honor and dignity. Rousseff made such a statement during her meeting with representatives of feminist movements in São Paulo.

In mid June Dilma Rousseff said that she agrees to new elections of the head of state.

On May 12 the Senate of Brazil made a decision to suspend the president of the country Dilma Rousseff. Russef is suspected of obstruction to justice during investigation of corruption crimes in Petrobras, a state-run oil and gas company.
