The decision of the NATO Warsaw summit indicates that the alliance makes a step from the Cold War to the preparation for a real war, ex-president of Soviet Union Mikhail Gorbachev stated.

According to him, all the rhetoric in Warsaw indicates the desire to declare war against Russia. They only speak about protection, and actually conduct preparation for offensive actions. The decisions made in Warsaw involve Russia in the growing opposition.

He noted that the members of NATO try to pretend that are not afraid and this is very suspicious, and thereby they are trying to involve Russia and the whole world into even more confrontation. The ex-president of the Soviet Union considers that the international community should make every effort to stop slide towards war, Interfax reported.
