House Foreign Relations Committee recommended the MPs to adopt resolution introducing sanctions against Russia.

The resolution envisages the right of the president to impose economic sanctions against specific Russian citizens, thus banning US companies and entrepreneurs to conduct business with them. Such sanctions have been taken against the Russian officials, BBC reported.

The document also provides for a ban on the supply of military items to Russia by NATO member states. No new provisions have been included in the resolution.
