Japan and the U.S. started the last stage of preparation for a meeting between Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe and U.S. President Donald Trump  in Washington on February 10, Bloomberg reported.

It was noted that the parties should discuss  the fate of the Trans-Pacific Partnership (TTP) against the background of Trump's decision to withdraw from the trade deal, development of global economy and the security situation in the Asia-Pacific region. The leaders are set to have a phone conversation in the coming days before their meeting.
