YEREVAN. – The rapprochement between Turkey and Russia will not harm Armenia.

Political scientist and former deputy foreign minister of Armenia, Ambassador Arman Navasardyan, stated the abovementioned at a press conference on Friday.

In his words, he does not believe that Moscow will change its stance toward Yerevan, so as to please Ankara. 

As per Navasardyan, quite the opposite, their rapprochement will reduce tension, and this is desired by Armenia where there is a Russian military base, not far from the Turkish border.

“So, on the contrary, the security of our country will increase,” he added.
