YEREVAN. – The Turpanjian Family Foundation will help physicians in the provinces of Armenia open their own businesses.

Gevorg Goyunyan, American University of Armenia—which implements this program—Vice President of Finance, told Armenian News-NEWS.am that the respective assistance will be provided within the framework of the program for small and medium-sized businesses.

He noted that the program is already implemented for several years for startup entrepreneurs of Armenia’s provinces, and it has helped create a number of small enterprises.

This year individual courses will be conducted for doctors who were born in the country’s provinces and wish to return there.

Even though this program drew dentists and pharmacists for the most part, a private hematological laboratory was established in Berd town.
