YEREVAN. - Ministry of Education and Science of Armenia wants to open Tumo technology clubs in nearly 30 villages of the country.

Minister of Education and Science of Armenia Levon Mkrtchyan said the aforementioned at the parliamentary debate on the 2016 State Budget performance report on Thursday.

In his words, the agency will receive the necessary funding from donors. “It is very important that the technological education be accessible to as many students as possible, and not only in the capital city but also in regions,” Mkrtchyan added.

The first Tumo Center for Creative Technologies was opened in Yerevan with the support of American Armenian businessman Sam Simonian. Such centers were later also opened in Gyumri, Dilijan and Stepanakert, the capital city of Karabakh.
