YEREVAN. – It is difficult to imagine involvement of civil society in Armenia’s Central Electoral Commission (CEC), chairman of the Commission Tigran Mukuchyan told reporters on Monday, commenting on EU ambassador’s proposal.

According to Mukuchyan, there will be numerous problems in case of engaging civil society in the CEC.

“How will selection take place? Who will have to choose?” Mukuchyan said adding that political forces will hardly come to a common solution, and the elections to the Yerevan Council of Elders is an example.
