YEREVAN. – Azerbaijan is trying to exert psychological pressure on Armenia by spreading reports about arms supplies, Russian analyst Alexander Khromchikhin told Armenian News-NEWS.am.

The analyst commented on Azerbaijani reports on the sale of Russian arms ahead of the expected meeting between Armenian and Azerbaijani foreign ministers.

“Psychological pressure. There is no other explanation,” the expert said. “The success of pressure at the diplomatic level can be judged by the results of the talks,” the analyst added, while expressing a strong doubt that it could be successful.

Speaking about the arms supplies themselves, Alexander Khramchikhin recalled that the agreements had been concluded earlier.

“I have not heard anything about the new agreements,” he emphasized.
