YEREVAN. – Azerbaijan tries to distort the EU approach to the settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, Armenian Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandian told reporters on Friday.

As for the Azerbaijani interpretation of Brussels Declaration, the Foreign Minister noted that Azerbaijan is screaming of fear and resembles a timid fairy-tale hero.

“There is an approach of the Co-Chair countries over conflict settlement. The EU has repeatedly expressed support for this approach, even during the summit in Brussels,” the Foreign Minister noted.

Since the recent visit to the region, the mediators issued a statement highlighting three well-known principles, said Edward Nalbandian adding that the EU not only expresses full support for this approach, but also repeatedly mentioned these principles as a basis for the settlement.
