Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov spoke about the quantitative balance of Russian and US non-governmental organizations in Armenia.
In response to a question from the leading Komsomolskaya Pravda about why there are a lot of US NGOs but few Russian in Armenia, he said that Russia could not response that much.
“We cannot mirror such puppet organizations, because many have a very provocative agenda,” said the minister.
Lavrov did not agree with the journalist quoting the statement of an unknown Armenian expert that Russia does not work with all political forces of Armenia.
“I agree that it is necessary to work with all political forces, and it is not true that we are not doing this. We work with everyone and not only in South Caucasus, but also in other parts of the post-Soviet space. We work with all system opposition representatives,” he said.
The leadership should work with society, with citizens, promote projects that are interesting to people, he said referring to culture, language, sports, education, and human communication.
“Now we have interregional forums with almost every CSTO member state,” he said.
