The Turkish presidential palace has submitted to the chairmanship of the parliament petitions for stripping eight MPs from their parliamentary immunity.

Garo Paylan, the Armenian member of the Turkish legislature, is also among these eight names, Hürriyet newspaper reported.

If Paylan is stripped of his parliamentary immunity, he could be arrested because there are lawsuits against him; but these lawsuits are suspended due to his being an MP.
