Three Turkish parties will struggle to win the parliamentary election – Justice and Development, Republican People’s Party and Nationalistic Movement Party, said Turkish studies expert Levon Hovsepyan.

Talking to the journalists on Wednesday, he said opinion polls show 48.8% of respondents will vote for ruling Justice and Development, 28% - for Republican People’s Party, whereas about 10% will give their votes to nationalists. Other political forces will hardly get more than 10% of votes at parliamentary election scheduled for this June, he added.

As to candidates of Armenian origin,  Levon Hovsepyan noted putting forward such an initiative Erdogan’s party is trying to show it is democratic and tolerant political force.

“Even if Armenian candidates are elected they would hardly be able to raise issues of the Armenian community. They will be just Turkish MPs,” he said.
