The Human Rights Commission of the Turkish Parliament completed the report on murder of Hrant Dink, the chief editor of the Istanbul Armenian Agos newspaper.

The report includes an investigation of Dink’s murder, Turkish Zaman daily reports. It will be sent to Trabzon General Prosecutor’s Office.

Dink’s murderer Ogun Samast is from Trabzon province. During the trial it became clear that the Trabzon gendarmerie and the police were informed about the crime, but did not prevent it.

In September 2010, the European Court of Human Rights in Strasbourg found Turkey guilty of failing to prevent the murder of editor of the Agos daily Hrant Dink and conduct an investigation to disclose the crime.

In a resolution adopted on March 9, 2011, the European Parliament expressed concern over Turkish government’s putting impediments in revealing murderers of Dink.
