The Armenian National Congress has not yet decided on its further steps in the context of ban imposed on oppositional rallies by Yerevan City Hall in Liberty Square on March 17.

“The issue has not yet been discussed at the congress. When we discuss it, a decision will be made,” Chairman of Armenian National Movement (ANM) Aram Manukyan said, stressing the ANC is touring the regions to prepare for the March 17 meeting.

It is noteworthy ANC members were unaware of either the Yerevan Municipality’s decision on March 14 or the Heritage party’s statement.

Commenting on some political forces’ statement that ANC softened radical positions as there is no ultimatum on Armenian President’s resignation in the recent ANC statement, Spokesman for ANC Arman Musinyan told Armenian News-NEWS.am: “I can only say the authors of these statements cannot read.”

The Armenian National Congress is an oppositional union founded in 2008 headed by first president of Armenia Levon Ter-Petrosyan. Oppositional union comprises 17 political parties.
