Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan met on Wednesday with OSCE Minsk Group Co-Chairs who arrived in Yerevan within the framework of regional visit.
He received Bernard Fassier (France), Robert Bradtke (U.S.), Igor Popov (Russia) and Personal Representative of the Chairman-in-Office Ambassador Andrzej Kasprzyk.
President Sargsyan reiterated Armenian side’s readiness to continue peace process based on agreements reached by Armenian, Russian and Azerbaijani leaders during the Sochi meeting.
It was mentioned that after the Sochi meeting the Armenian side took consistent steps to establish an atmosphere of trust, president’s press service informed Armenian News-NEWS.am.
The issues related to Azerbaijan’s provocative statements and actions, in particular killing of an Armenian soldier in the line of contact, were raised. Misinformation spread by Azerbaijan regarding killing of 10-aged boy in the frontline was discussed as well. Serzh Sargsyan called reports misinformation and provocation, as actions against civilians, and especially children, do not comply with the moral standards of an Armenian soldier. It was noted that it is impossible from technical viewpoint to conduct such actions in this area.
The sides discussed further steps of the Karabakh peace process.
