Armenian Genocide commemorative billboards with an inscription “Now is the time to turn hope into action” were placed in the streets of Boston.

The message on the billboards sponsored by Peace of Art reminds President Obama of his campaign promise to recognize the Armenian Genocide, writes reporter.am.

Daniel Varoujan Hejinian, head of Peace of Art, says the project is very close to his heart because his parents were survivors of the Armenian Genocide.

“As a child, my parents’ history had great impact on me, and growing up I saw history through their eyes,” reporter.am quotes Hejinian.

Hejinian is an author of many billboards in Boston and each year since 1996 he places commemorative boards in Massachusetts within the framework of Genocide affirmation campaign.
