Hearings on gas supply issues will be held in Armenian Parliament on March 30.

There are numerous issues demanding solutions, in particular gas quality, expert Ashot Yeghiazaryan said at today’s press conference.

There are certain doubts regarding extremely high gas prices for the Armenian consumers. “In fact Armenian consumers pay as much as residents of Western Europe. However, in these countries, unlike Yerevan, gas pipes are not laid in the streets,” he said.

The expert stressed that mentioned facts urged ARF Dashnaktsutyun to initiate setting up an interim committee on gas issues. Overall, Armenia spends $240 for 1000 cubic meters of gas, he added.
