President of Lithuania Gitanas Nauseda approved Wednesday the cabinet with three new ministers introduced by Prime Minister Saulius Skvernelis. “The nominations of all the government officials are agreed upon and approved. I anticipate fruitful work from the cabinet for the welfare of the Lithuanian population,” the head of state stated during a special press conference, reports TASS.

On July 24, Nauseda appointed Skvernelis the country’s Prime Minister (Skvernelis had been the interim Prime Minister since July 12 when the head of state took oath of office), and the cabinet resigned by law. The President had assigned Skvernelis to form the cabinet, which needed to be formed in 15 days.
