Dariga Nazarbayeva has been re-elected the Kazakh Senate speaker, Tengrinews.kz reported.
The senators held a secret ballot and Dariga Nazarbayeva was elected by the majority of the votes. She was nominated by President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev.
Dariga Nazarbayeva served as speaker of the chamber during the last parliamentary session. The new vote was held as on August 12 Nazarbayev was reappointed as a deputy of the Senate.
