During today’s session of the Council of Elders of Yerevan, member of the Council of Elders Gayane Melkonyan from the My Step faction declared that it is suspected that the area in Mashtots Grove in Yerevan where a café was built, was illegally privatized in 2006.

Melkonyan called on law-enforcement authorities to deal with this matter and added that in spite of the decision on termination of construction, there is information that construction continues. First Deputy Mayor of Yerevan Hrachya Sargsyan added that inquiries have been sent to the Urban Development Committee and the Ministry of Environment.
