Greek authorities are considering lifting some of the COVID-19 restrictions as part of a plan to gradually rebuild a fragile economy, Deputy Interior Minister Stelios Petsas said.

He noted that the warmer temperatures, encouraging outdoor activities, and optimism about the increase in vaccinations in April, will allow epidemiologists to recommend a phased removal of the restrictions, Reuters reported.

According to him, the government will make a decision later on Friday, when the restrictions will be lifted, following the proposals of the group of epidemiologists. He did not specify what exactly the restrictions would be lifted.
