YEREVAN. – Zhoghovurd newspaper of the Republic of Armenia (RA) writes. According to Zhoghovurd daily’s information, at the moment, there are searches within the authorities for a candidate for the RA Minister of Foreign Affairs. As it is known, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs does not have a minister and deputy ministers since May 27.

At this moment, the authorities’ [respective] searches have stopped on RA [Acting] Deputy Prime Minister Mher Grigoryan. The thing is that the latter is accepted by Russian circles and has some experience, and that is why he is considered the most likely candidate.

Zhoghovurd daily tried to find out from Mher Grigoryan in person whether or not he had received an offer for such a position. The latter noted that he has no information about his being appointed [FM]. To the clarification, if there is such a proposal, will he accept it, the deputy prime minister responded. "I do not comment at the moment on issues related to the formation of the [new Armenian] government." It means he neither denied nor confirmed our information.
