A package of constitutional reforms in Turkey, approved by the Turkish President and Parliament, will be put to a referendum in the first half of July, Turkish Deputy Prime Minister Cemil Cicek stated.

According to him, the first Sunday in 60 days is the most convenient time for the referendum, as postponing the referendum is inadvisable.

The package of constitutional reforms was submitted by the ruling Justice and Development Party, which has a parliamentary majority.
