In 2018, the Yerevan State College of Culture and Art had petitioned to the Aznavour Foundation and the family of the late Charles Aznavour, with a request to name the college after the legendary French Armenian musician.

And as a result of a long process, the decision on this renaming was made by the Armenian government, and as a result, this institution of higher education is now called Yerevan State College of Culture and Art After Charles Aznavour, the college informed Armenian News-NEWS.am.

Also, a memorandum was signed between the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sports of Armenia and the Aznavour Foundation for the development and modernization of this college.
