TBILISI. – Georgia plans to grant official status to Armenian, Azerbaijani and other languages in several regions of the country, secretary of Georgia’s Labor Party Giorgi Gugava said at the briefing on Tuesday.
“Getting order from the Armenian lobby, Saakashvili plans to make another anti-national decision aiming to divide even greater part of our state. All the MPs who will vote for the bill will remain in the Georgian history as traitors of the state,” he said.
According to him, in case authorities implement their plan, education, court proceedings, administrative and civil relations will no longer be carried out in Georgian language, Georgia Online reports.
