At the beginning of 2022, the revenue forecast for Armenia was within 1 trillion 947 billion drams. However, they increased by 110 billion drams in one year. Finance minister Vahe Hovhannisyan said this during Monday’s National Assembly Standing Committee on Financial-Credit and Budgetary Affairs’ debates on the 2022 state budget performance report.

Planned expenses amounted to 2 trillion 184 billion drams—an increased by 103 billion drams.

"As a result, the planned deficit was reduced by 6.5 billion drams," Hovhannisyan added.

At the same time, as the representative of the Armenian government noted, the actual expenses, which were planned by the revised program of the government, made 100.2 percent according to the revenues, and 98 percent according to the expenses.

Speaking about the increase in revenues by 110 billion drams, the finance minister noted that tax revenues in Armenia amounted to 81 billion drams, and other expenses totaled to 51 billion drams.

And the official subsidies decreased by 21.9 billion drams.

A decrease in the customs duty was also observed in Armenia, and this is related to the drop in the imports in the territory of the Eurasian Economic Union.
