“The latest parliamentary elections in Georgia confirmed the democratic backsliding of the country under the current government. By acting against the Georgian people, the leaders of the Georgian Dream have led the country away from the path of the European Union and the country's goal of being on the path of the EU. We all want one thing, that Georgia returns to the European path, and this requires effort. We will send a mission to Georgia, we will discuss the violations. The government must make decisive changes. Georgia cannot move forward without concrete changes in relations with the European Union. We will invite the head of the OSCE/ODIHR observation mission to Georgia to present his assessment of election violations to the member states. We will convene a Council meeting so that member states know what we are talking about when we talk about violations related to these elections.
