India will negotiate with Pakistan only on counter-terrorism and Kashmir. This was stated by Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi while addressing the nation for the first time since the launch of Operation Sindur.

He said “talks with Pakistan can only be on the issue of terrorism and the return of the Pakistan-controlled part of Kashmir.” “Nothing else,” he stated.

“This is not an era of war, but neither is it an era of terrorism,” Modi added.

“Terror and negotiations cannot go together. Terror and trade cannot go hand in hand either,” the Indian head of government pointed out. “Pakistan must dismantle its terrorist infrastructure, there is no other path to peace,” he said.
