Russian President Vladimir Putin received Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan in the Kremlin. About it “RIA Novosti” reported in the Turkish Ministry.
"Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan was received by President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin. The meeting began at 19:30 and continues," - reported in the Turkish Foreign Ministry.
Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov and Turkish Ambassador to Russia Tanju Bilgic are also attending the meeting.
Fidan is in Russia on a working visit from May 25 to 27 at the invitation of Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov. The ministers are expected to hold talks and exchange views on the development of the situation after the talks between the Russian and Ukrainian delegations in Istanbul on May 27.
Russian presidential spokesman Dmitry Peskov specified that the main topic of the talks between Lavrov and Fidan would be the discussion of bilateral relations. The ministers will also discuss possible further terms of negotiations between Russia and Ukraine.
On 26 May, Fidan held a meeting with presidential aide Vladimir Medinsky.
