Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan met with Magdalena Grono, the European Union (EU) Special Representative for the South Caucasus and the crisis in Georgia, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Armenia informs Armenian News-NEWS.am.

The interlocutors discussed matters on the Armenia-EU partnership agenda. It was emphasized that the important achievements recorded to date in various domains reflect the dynamics, depth, and substantive richness of this partnership’s development. Upcoming programs were addressed, as well as the addition of new initiatives to the partnership agenda, including work aimed at the continued strengthening of Armenia’s resilience.

Mirzoyan and Grono exchanged views on regional issues, too. In the context of expanding the transport and economic connectivity network, the compatibility of the EU’s Global Gateway Initiative and Armenia’s Crossroads of Peace project was emphasized, and steps being taken toward their implementation were addressed.

The meeting included also an exchange of views on efforts to make the best use of the opportunities created by the peace established between Armenia and Azerbaijan as a result of the August 8 agreements between the two countries, and on further strengthening of peace.
