Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan and Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev signed a joint statement after their meeting Friday in Astana, the capital of Kazakhstan.

Next, in the presence of the heads of the two countries, a ceremony was held to exchange several documents between Armenia and Kazakhstan.

Accordingly, an agreement on the transfer, use, protection, and security of classified information was exchanged between the governments of Armenia and Kazakhstan; an agreement on the mutual allocation of land plots for the construction of diplomatic mission buildings of Kazakhstan in Armenia and of Armenia in Kazakhstan; and the 2026-2030 roadmap for trade and economic cooperation between the two countries.

A memorandum of cooperation was exchanged between Armenia’s Ministry of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure and Kazakhstan’s Ministry of Industry and Construction. A memorandum of cooperation was also exchanged between Armenia’s Ministry of High-Tech Industry and Kazakhstan’s Ministry of Artificial Intelligence and Digitalization.               

A memorandum on cooperation in the peaceful use of atomic energy was exchanged between Armenia’s Ministry of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure and Kazakhstan’s Atomic Energy Agency.

A memorandum of cooperation in science and higher education was exchanged between Armenia’s Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sport and Kazakhstan’s Ministry of Science and Higher Education.

The 2026-2027 action plan was exchanged between the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of Armenia and Kazakhstan.

A program of key measures for developing cooperation for 2026-2027 was exchanged between the Ministries of Health of Armenia and Kazakhstan.

A memorandum of cooperation in trade of agricultural products was also exchanged between Armenia and Kazakhstan.

Also exchanged were: an agreement between Armenia’s Chamber of Commerce and Industry and Kazakhstan’s Foreign Trade Chamber on establishing an Armenia-Kazakhstan Business Council; a memorandum of cooperation between Armenia’s National Library and Kazakhstan’s National Library; a cooperation agreement between the Diplomatic School of Armenia’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Academy of Public Administration under the President of Kazakhstan; a memorandum of cooperation between the Armenian Cinema Foundation and the National State Center for Support of Cinema of Kazakhstan; and a memorandum of cooperation between the National Gallery of Armenia and Kazakhstan’s A. Kasteyev State Museum of Arts.
