The activities of the Erasmus+ national office in Armenia have resumed, informs the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sport.

The results have been summed up for the competition announced on May 15 for the vacant position of coordinator of the Erasmus+ national office in Armenia, organized in cooperation with the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sport, the Scientific and Innovation Partnership Assistance Center (SIPAC) Foundation, the European Union (EU) Delegation to Armenia, and the European Education and Culture Executive Agency of the European Commission of the EU.

Accordingly, Mariana Sargsyan has been declared the winner of the competition for the position of coordinator of the Erasmus+ national office in Armenia. Her candidacy has been endorsed and her appointment approved by the European Education and Culture Executive Agency. Until December 30, 2026, she will carry out the promotion of the Erasmus+ program, dissemination of information, support for the participation of Armenia’s beneficiaries, as well as a number of other functions.

The Erasmus+ national office in Armenia will operate within the SIPAC Foundation, which already has long-standing productive experience as the official coordinator of the national contact persons network for the EU Horizon Europe program (2021–2027) in Armenia, providing consultations to representatives of Armenia’s universities and scientific organizations regarding participation in EU and other international grant programs.

The harmonization of the activities of Armenia’s information offices of the EU’s Erasmus+ and Horizon Europe programs in higher education, science, and innovation will also contribute to the integration of Armenia’s academic and scientific communities into the European education and research areas.
