The staff of US Vice President JD Vance has acknowledged receipt of detained Armenian Archbishop Bagrat Galstanyan's letter and expressed gratitude for it, reports the Christian Solidarity International (CSI)
Vance will visit Armenia on Monday and Tuesday, then travel to Azerbaijan.
Last week, CSI was able to visit Archbishop Bagrat Galstanyan in prison, and it received a signed letter from him to forward to the US Vice President. Vance's staff has acknowledged receipt of the letter and expressed its gratitude.
CSI highly appreciates the cooperation and engagement of the US Vice President's team and prays that this visit will bring relief to the persecuted, CSI noted.
Also, it expressed confidence that the US Vice President will take the Archbishop's message with great care, secure the release of Armenian Christian political prisoners held in Armenia, and achieve guarantees for the safe return of Armenians forcibly displaced from Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh) to their homeland, with full protection of their fundamental rights.
