Hraparak daily of Armenia writes as follows: It is no secret that [well-known Russian Armenian businessman and philanthropist] Samvel Karapetyan's Strong Armenia party is actively engaged in pre-election work, they are opening offices in all communities [in Armenia], holding meetings, gathering a team, and have been actively engaged in political activities, which is very worrying for the authorities.

In addition to conducting aggressive counter-propaganda against Strong Armenia, the authorities’ punishing machine also has gone into action.

We have information that various circles of the authorities are searching for and finding all the owners who rent offices, premises to Karapetyan's [political] team, collaborate with them, and forcing them—by exerting pressure—to refrain from collaborating with the new political force.

They [i.e. the authorities] have even started checking the legality of ownership of real estate, office premises, attempting—by creating an atmosphere of fear—to hold people back from supporting the opposition movement.
