The first round of selecting candidates for the ruling Civil Contract Party’s (CCP) electoral list for Armenia’s  parliamentary elections in June concluded Sunday at the CCP headquarters in Yerevan.

At this phase, about 1,100 CCP delegates visited the party office and selected 50 candidates each from the 276-member respective list. Accordingly, the CCP’s preliminary electoral list will be formed in a ranking order, from the one who received the most votes to the one who received the least.

And the first 50 candidates will conduct a campaign on the intra-party platform in March, so that delegates can again choose among those 50, deciding who the CCP candidate for prime minister will be and who should hold which position.

And the preliminary voting results, according to the votes received, are topped by Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, with 894 votes.
