Hraparak daily of the Republic of Armenia (RA) writes as follows: The news that the authorities are no longer able to eavesdrop on their Telegram and Signal communications has caused great excitement in government circles.

Previously, they knew that the authorities were acquiring the famous Pegasus eavesdropping program in order to install it in the phones of political opponents, journalists, and famous public figures and listen.

The Pegasus program, as a rule, is provided to the authorities of a given country for use for state security reasons.

However, when the sellers of the program found out that the RA authorities used it exclusively for political reasons, they stopped selling the program, and the CC [i.e. the ruling Civil Contract Party and its parliamentary faction] members experienced great joy.
