The official visit of Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan to Poland continues, the PM’s office informs.

The second day of the visit kicked off Thursday with a meeting between Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan and Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk. First, an official welcoming ceremony took place for Pashinyan, followed by a private meeting between the leaders of the two countries.

Donald Tusk welcomed the official visit of the Armenian premier to Poland, and expressed confidence that it will give a new impetus to the development of bilateral relations in all directions. The Polish PM attached importance to expanding cooperation with Armenia, especially in economy, infrastructure, security, education, science, and some other areas. Also, Donald Tusk emphasized the interest of the Polish government in strengthening and deepening cooperation with Armenia, including as a member state of the European Union (EU).

In turn, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan expressed gratitude for the warm hospitality, and stressed the importance of the continued development of Armenia’s multilateral cooperation with Poland. The premier highly appreciated the assistance provided by Poland in the implementation of institutional reforms in Armenia, and expressed hope that it will be continuous. In the context of deepening trade and economic ties between Armenia and Poland, Nikol Pashinyan attached importance to the promotion of economic cooperation. In addition, the premier emphasized the role of Poland in the process of deepening Armenia-EU cooperation.

Subsequently, the interlocutors discussed several matters related to the implementation of joint programs.

The peace process between Armenia and Azerbaijan, the implementation of Trump Route for International Peace and Prosperity (TRIPP) initiative, as well as topics related to the further development of Armenia-EU cooperation were also touched upon.
