Hraparak daily of Armenia writes as follows: Although the CC [i.e. the ruling Civil Contract Party and its parliamentary faction] intended to replace the Assyrian and Kurdish representatives of the national minority—it’s about Arsen Mikhaylov and 80-year-old Knyaz Hasanov, after a long search they have stopped at the same people, since they did not find a second “normal” person who shares the ideas of the authorities in the mentioned communities.

Thus, we can say that the second part of the CC electoral list, which is formed from national minorities, is already ready [for the parliamentary election on June 7].

Rustam Bakoyan was again elected from the Yezidi community, Aleksey Sandikov from the Russian community, Knyaz Hasanov from the Kurds, and Arsen Mikhaylov from the Assyrians.

According to the [Armenian] law, the [political] force that receives the most votes "gets" the representative of the largest—Yezidi—community. And if that force has twice as many mandates, also of the Russian community. And if it has a constitutional majority, then all three.
