French and Belgian forces seized an oil tanker under sanctions in the North Sea, French President Emmanuel Macron said on social media platform X.
“A major blow to the shadow fleet: last night in the North Sea, French Navy helicopters assisted Belgian forces in seizing an oil tanker subject to international sanctions.
Europeans are determined to cut off the sources of financing for Russia’s aggressive war in Ukraine through sanctions,” the French president stated.
