The European Union’s (EU) EUNAVFOR ASPIDES naval defense mission in the Red Sea, the Persian Gulf, and the Indian Ocean is being strengthened, EU foreign policy chief Kaja Kallas has announced, Ynet reports.
Kallas explained that the mission has faced a sharp increase in defense-related requirements, and in order to strengthen maritime security, the mission will be authorized with additional ships.
On February 28, the United States, together with Israel, launched military action against Iran.
