The US Senate failed to pass a bill limiting President Donald Trump's military powers.
US senators voted 52 votes "against" and 47 votes "for" the bill proposed by the Democrats that would curtail Trump's power to order further military action against Iran without congressional approval.
Earlier, the US president vowed to continue the offensive against Iran, declaring that the US and Israel are in a strong position in their war against the Islamic Republic.
