YEREVAN. – Armenia’s National Assembly (NA) member Vardan Ayvazyan is preparing to head for India on a practical visit, Chorrord Inknishkhanutyun daily writes.

“Ayvazyan, who has a mere one iron mine in Armenia, succeeded in establishing contacts in India with the largest local rich, who expressed a readiness to invest large amounts in Armenia’s mining industry.

But those who are somewhat familiar with Ayvazyan’s affairs note that Ayvazyan is still slow in finalizing the previous agreements.

First, Ayvazyan is awaiting the formation of the final makeup of Armenia’s Government. Second, Ayvazyan’s long-range plans could have gone much more smoothly if [NA Speaker] Hovik Abrahamyan had been appointed PM. But it is possible that Ayvazyan would be able to reach common grounds with the current Government, too,” Chorrord Inknishkhanutyun writes.
