A few months ago, the co-chair of the Kurdish party The Peoples' Democratic Party Figen Yuksekdag had to resign her mandate by the decision of the Turkish Parliament General Council.
As the Turkish Cumhuriyet reports, the Appeal Court submitted a note to the Turkish parliament, based on which Yuksekdag’s mandate was suspended.
Figen Yuksekdag, who is in prison now, is accused of "supporting a terrorist organization ", and "carrying out a campaign for a terrorist structure".
