“France-Karabakh" friendship circle issued a statement saying that taking into account results of a referedum in Nagorno-Karabakh, from now on the circle will be called "France-Artsakh”.

Preliminary reports from 104 international observers from 30 countries show that the voting was held in a regular manner and in line with norms of rule of law, Artsakhpress reported.

“Currently we are waiting for the final reports of the Central Election Commission and the independent observers,” chairman of the France-Artsakh friendship circle François Rochebloine said.

It is also symbolic and important that the country will be called by its historical and Armenian name, the name which has been called by its residents constantly.

“This is a step that completes the process of independence,” François Rochebloine concluded.
