Renovation of 280-year-old Armenian Tashoron church was launched in Cavusoglu district of the Turkish city of Malatya.

Nuvit Bayar, coordinator of restoration works and chief architect, told the journalists that research and renovation works will soon be carried out, Haberciler reported.

Turkish architect also said that culture values protection department plans also to restore Armenian Vank church.

Armenians of Istanbul, Malatya and Tepebası Mosque Construction and Preservation Society agreed to restore the church in Cavusoglu district where Hrant Dink was born. Last year mosque foundation declared they would restore the church but failed to do it due to financial difficulties.
