Unidentified persons have robbed a Cartier jewelry store in the heart of the Principality of Monaco, RIA Novosti news agency of Russia reported, citing the Monaco Matin newspaper.

The incident took place in Monte Carlo, in the jewelry store at the famous Casino Square near which there are numerous gaming halls.

Police managed to catch one of the robbers, whereas two others are being sought.

Sometime thereafter, a burning car was found in a tunnel in Monaco.

No one was injured as a result of this incident.

But it is not yet known how many expensive items, or how much money, the robbers stole.
