YEREVAN. – Members of the National Assembly (NA) of Armenia on Wednesday stood a minute of silence in memory of the victims of the terrorist attacks that were carried out in Tehran.

“We must condemn these terrorist acts, express our solidarity with the Iranian people, and say that terror knows no nationality and religion,” said NA Vice President Eduard Sharmazanov, who is chairing Wednesday’s session of parliament.

Gunmen and suicide bombers on Wednesday carried out attacks on Iran’s parliament and the mausoleum of revolutionary founder Ruhollah Khomeini in capital city Tehran, killing 12 people and injuring over 30 others.
