The terrorist threat in Europe and Germany remains high, this refers to major public events, including Christmas markets, said the representative of the Ministry of internal Affairs of Germany, Johannes Dimroth.

Traditional Christmas markets are opened on November 27 in Germany, RIA Novosti reported.

The federal security agencies share information with regional departments that have to take measures to counter constantly updated security situation, noted Johannes Dimroth.
