A 27-year-old Bangladeshi immigrant was charges with terrorism after an explosion in New York on December 11, BBC reported.

Akayed Ullah intended to detonate “improvised low-tech explosive device” at the Port Authority Bus Terminal subway station in Manhattan. The bomb worked before the time and injured the suspect himself.

The attacker told the police he had been inspired by Christmas terror attacks in Berlin and had tried to “revenge” the United States for the attacks on the ISIS.

According to preliminary information, Akayed Ullah did not have any direct contact with the Islamic State.

Ullah said he acted in response to Israeli actions in Gaz, CNN reported. (http://edition.cnn.com/2017/12/11/us/new-york-possible-explosion-port-authority-subway/index.html)
